Fenland Running Club members were spread throughout the country over the weekend competing in various races and distances. Kicking off the weekend on Saturday, Jane Clarke was in Berkshire at the Bouda Vida Womens 10K Windsor where she was 65th in a field of 620 ladies and despite a hilly course, pulled out a PB time by 2:45 minutes to finish in 53:30. On Sunday in Nottinghamshire, Andre Pittock, Andy Wicklen, Justin and Kristy Brown represented the Club at the Ikano Bank Robin Hood Marathon and Half Marathon. Andre and Andy tackled the full marathon and in a field of 1,102 finishers Andre was 218th in 3:48:15 and Andy was 745th in 4:46:14. Justin and Kristy who ran a half marathon in Hawaii on their honeymoon, celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary with another half marathon in the much bigger field of 6,149 runners. Justin was 3,756th in 2:15;53 and Kristy was 6,053rd in 3:13:43. Over in Suffolk at the Simplyhealth Great East Run in Ipswich with 3,185 runners,, Bethan Everson pulled a PB out of the bag and cracked the 90 minute barrier finishing 3rd Senior Lady in a superb time of 1:29:34. Back in Cambridgeshire, Andrew Plume had an outstanding run to finish 2nd in a time of 5:29:53 in the Monster Raceing Ultra 42.25 mile race with 50 finishers managing the distance from Ely to Cambridge and back to Ely.

Justin and Kristy Brown celebrating 1st wedding anniversary at Robin Hood half marathon
