Hi, I have just moved to Elm from Bygrave in Hertfordshire where I was a member of North Herts Road Runners. I am looking to join a club in this area. I will look to join you at a session next week if that is okay.

    Hi
I’m looking to get back into running after a 10 year break.
In that 10 years I’ve managed to pile on the pounds and lost any level of fitness that I ever had.
Do you cater for begginer so like me who have zero fitness levels.?

    Many thanks

    Craig

      Hi Craig,

Apologies for the late reply. We run a beginners 8 week session every summer. Unfortunately this years is now past. If you can manage 3-4 miles running on your own you would be fine to do out main sessions, we split into groups so speed is not a problem, we cater for all. Any more questions please feel free to drop me a line at FRC.membership@outlook.com

      Regards

    Hi
I might be a bit cheeky in asking, but last year we organised a marathon in Nepal to help the earthquake victims. It was such a unique event and such a success we have been asked to repeat it and so I am trying to do just that.
I was wondering if you could kindly put a poster somewhere for your club members to see (maybe a notice board or Facebook page). Every penny goes directly to the people in the remote village who lost their homes last year.
If you would like to read the testimonials from last year, please see http://www.nepalmarathons.com
They had the most amazing adventure of their life in Nepal and made really good friends with like-minded people. Maybe some of your members would like to have the same experience next year?
I hope you don’t mind my asking but we don’t have an advertising budget. If you would like me to send you a poster please let me have an e-mail address.
    Many thanks
    Lorraine

      Hi Iain,

We are a mainly road running club & cater for all from park runners up to ultra runners. We will probably have 20-30 members who will begin concentrating on marathon training come Christmas/New year. We have a few members from the long Sutton/Holbeach/Spalding direction too. Please feel free to drop me an email if you have any further questions. FRC.membership@outlook.com

Hi. I would very much like to join your group. I am not mega fit but enjoy running, but I am nervous to run alone in Wisbech. However I could not do the same night each week due to my work shifts. Could I maybe alternate nights? Depending on what I am working?
    Thanks

      Hi Karen
Apologies for not getting back to you before. Change of Committee members has meant role of checking this part of our website for messages has ‘fallen through the cracks’! The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 18:30 at Wisbech Rugby Club but also arranges other social runs during the week and at weekends as well as weekend races at other Clubs events. Membership is £20 for individuals and £30 for Family membership. We will be starting a “Get Running” course for beginners at the end of May and through June/July. This will be the fifth year of the course which is FREE and has proved very popular and successful to get people to 5K and beyond!
If you want more info, please email me direct at:kay_roger@sky.com
