After a festive few days of social runs on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, Fenland Running Club members got buckled down to the gritty task of getting back to the business of racing at the hugely popular Ely Runners New Year’s Eve 10K race at Little Downham. In a huge field of 587 finishers, FRC had 23 members who enjoyed the great racing conditions although some of the exposed parts of the course proved very windy! Ian Milburn finished in 216th place but was also honoured with taking the first MV70 prize in a time of 49:30. Jane Greenwood just missed out on prize money by finishing as second LV60 in 52:59.
